  • Essay / Transitioning from high school to college English class...

    As Christmas approaches, my terrible English class is coming to an end. I came to English Composition I with very little English experience. Going from high school English to my first year of college English, I learned a lot from reading to writing. High school taught me the basics and gave me a foundation to build on. Composition in English I have opened many doors. First of all, my writing skills have improved this semester. My strengths are that I know how to approach the topic I am supposed to address. In most of my attempts, I struggled to stay in the same view with some minor organizational and mechanical errors. My writing in this class wasn't horrible, but it's nothing that couldn't be fixed without practice. I plan to address these issues in the "real world" by proofreading my work before submitting my assignments. Most of the mistakes I made in this course were careless mistakes or common mistakes.
