Making sure he is aware of the things that can set him off (trigger) and cause him to relapse. The OT&OTA would also let him know the risk of not taking his medication, while reminding him of all the good things he did while taking his medication. The Principles of Recovery John accomplished a lot in his life while living with his illness, he also had some relapses because he no longer saw the benefit of his medications. Even though he had a wife who loved him, she wasn't enough to keep his illness at bay. John needed a new, meaningful role (being a father), which is what really made him grow beyond the catastrophe of his illness. (Williams, A. (1993) Review I really enjoyed watching this movie because it opened my eyes to what schizophrenia really is. Before this movie I thought people with schizophrenia were violent and unpredictable. John's calm character really gave me a new insight into this mental illness. I recommended my friends and family to watch this movie so they can learn about it. The director of the film really did a good job portraying the general life of the real John Nash and capturing the full attention of the film.
