    The limits of freedomFreedom is the state of being free, of being able to speak and say anything freely. Freedom was not absolute for everyone. Back then and still today, people still do not have complete freedom in America. Early Americans placed limits on freedom even as they tried to create more freedom. The limits that early Americans placed on freedom were limits on free speech, and much more. Even with the American Revolution, it wasn't for everyone. The American Revolution was for the colonists and the men, but over time the idea of ​​liberty and equality became everyone's business. Women, slaves, and minorities did not gain equality through the American Revolution. Women and slaves wanted equality, they wanted more rights. Women are a group of people who did not have absolute freedom then and even today. Even though today, women have more freedom than back then.
