Assisted suicide has been a controversial issue for some time now. It is also confused with the term euthanasia; but the two do not mean the same thing. Euthanasia involves killing another person to relieve their pain; while assisted suicide is the practice by which an individual helps another person commit suicide. Practicing these two problems gives relief to the person who is suffering. Assisted suicide has positive and negative problems. There is some debate about whether this should be legal or not. Some of the positive aspects of assisted suicide are that it relieves a person of the pain they are in. The person has the right to choose how they want to die because it falls under the equal protection clause. Oncology patients don't necessarily like the idea of ​​physician assistant suicide. Some negative problems with assisted suicide are that it violates the ethics that people may have. It is also compared to euthanasia and people think it is just as bad as assisted suicide. Neither assisted suicide nor physician-assisted suicide should be legal in the United States.
