Airline CEO Role PlayROYAL JORDANIAN AIRLINES BRIEF HISTORYRoyal Jordanian Airlines, RJ (my company) was established in 1963 and is based in Amman, in Jordan. The airlines began operations on December 15, 1963 with a fleet of two Handley Page Dart Heralds and one Super DC-7. In 1966, RJ became a member of IATA and began expanding its operations. In 1971, Royal Jordanian entered the jet age by acquiring two Boeing 707s. In 2001, Royal Jordanian was registered as a public company with capital of $60 million. Royal Jordanian Airline currently covers 51 destinations worldwide. Royal Jordanian has a modern fleet. Its fleet is made up of 5 Airbus A310-300s, 6 Airbus A320-200s, 3 Airbus A321-200s, 4 Airbus A340-200s, 2 Bombardier Q400/De Havilland Canada Dash 8s and 7 Embraer 195s.
