Short Story Once upon a time, in a small house deep in a dense, overgrown forest, there was a young boy who lived with his mother, father and older sisters, two of most beautiful girls in all of Ireland. This forest was different from the many others that cover this enchanted land. The young boy often argued with his sisters and felt that their talents overshadowed him. The two beautiful girls were not only very beautiful in appearance, but also always tried to do well in their studies and were of great help to the mother around the house. One day, a day that seemed unusual to the young boy almost from the moment he woke up in the house. That morning, something happened that changed the boy's life and that of all Irish people from then on. The day had started with the young boy hearing his mother calling him in a rather frantic tone. “Luke,” “Luke,” she called. The young boy, feeling a sense of importance, rushed up the stairs to meet his father, mother and grandfather. His mother told him that none of the girls had been seen since bedtime the night before and asked him if he knew where they might be or why they might have wandered off. The day before that influential morning, his sisters had decided to take a walk in the forest surrounding the chalet. Luke did not wish to not be included in their adventure and was thus followed, but always kept a few steps behind so as not to be seen by the girls and to be told to return to the cabin. He had heard too many girls talk about little creatures who lived in solitude in the middle of a paper... in a ban sheet, that he had to suffer the penance of a horrible death and an eternal curse of bad luck for everything. Irish. who now dared to disturb a hidden fairy. It was only during preparations for Luke's funeral that the parents remembered his raving speech but still dismissed it as the senseless ramblings of a dying child. However, it is said that at Luke O'Riley's funeral, above the wailing of his parents and other mourners, the distinct high-pitched screams of several Banshees could be heard. It is also said that two tiny creatures identical to his sisters could be seen wandering the dark hills around the cottage that was once their home, crying in mourning for their brother whom they had taken for granted and who would eternally join the other Banshees in crying at the funeral of every Irishman thereafter..
