Essay / Fast food is not the cause of fast food - 1292
Healthy foods on the menu may not be as healthy as you might think, but there are healthy foods compared to the rest of the menu. Some items on menus are advertised as healthy, but they really aren't. According to Andrew F. Smith's article "Healthy Fast Food," a Burger King Tendercrisp Garden Salad contains 670 calories, 45 grams of fat and 1,740 mg of sodium. This exceeds the amount of sodium the average person should consume in a single meal, which is about 500 mg. In order to check if foods are really healthy, they must be prepared at home in order to control what goes into their composition.
