Essay / Should college tuition be free? - 1066
Tuition should be free in the United States, in order to compete with the rest of the world in all fields, including (but not limited to) economics, business, politics, science and technology. If a single person cannot afford to study purely for financial reasons, it is a failure of the nation. People now live in a highly competitive global economy, and if the economy is to be strong, a highly educated workforce is the first requirement. America will have a stronger economy and a stronger democracy when all ambitious and talented young people can reach their full potential, and this can only be achieved by making college education accessible to all citizens, regardless of their background. financial situation. To have the best-educated workforce in the world, free tuition can create the opportunity to lead a more prosperous and equitable America, with more responsible and educated citizens. Education will help citizens access better jobs, better life choices and a brighter future. This will indirectly boost the country's economy. A better workforce will be created to serve the nation and greater profit will be made. Education in one of the basic needs should be accessible to everyone, regardless of one's financial situation. A recent Pell Institute study showed that only 9 percent of students from low-income families earn a bachelor's degree by age 24, compared to 77 percent of wealthier ones (Kelly 2015). If all students have the money to complete college and get a job that matches their qualifications, they will still have the opportunity to repay their university, society, and, after all, the entire nation. They will also be able to get their bachelor's degree...... middle of paper ...... student dollar loan. Additionally, students with a better position and higher salary will still have the opportunity to pay back the university by donating money or fundraising. Some people don't want to enter college after high school and study forever for good reasons. These people usually have lower grades in high school or simply don't want to study. But people with college degrees generally earn more money and have more job opportunities than those who didn't earn a college degree. These people contribute more effectively to science, technology, policy, and business than people without a college degree. And many willing students cannot afford to obtain a college degree due to financial insufficiency. So, without a doubt, removing the barrier of a huge amount of tuition fees can greatly contribute to the future of developed and progressed America..
