There are many qualities and characteristics that a leader must possess to be successful in the long term. A leader has an impact on all his followers. They must inspire others and make their followers want to lead a group of people one day. Leaders must be determined to achieve their goals every step of the way, and they must always demonstrate strength of mind. To be a quality leader, you must possess many qualities; such as being an inspiration, being committed to one's followers in what they lead, and leading people in the right direction. First, good leaders must be a source of inspiration. Inspirational leaders are those who make others feel moved and encouraged to do inspiring things in life and become a leader as well. Jack Lengyel, the coach in the film We Are Marshall, has been an inspiration to many. In We Are Marshall, all the football players were on a plane going to the championships and got into a plane crash. Football players, coaches, parents and teachers all died in this tragic accident. The only people left on the team were the players who were injured and couldn't go. Jack Lengyel arrived at the school and volunteered to be the coach of the new football team he wanted to start in honor of those who had passed away. He always motivated the new team of players to do better and win for the defunct team and give their best. He showed that success was not impossible. Before the first game of the season for the new team, he gave a pep talk at the cemetery where the players of the football team who were victims of the accident are buried. He inspired the team to take the field and win their first game and made the players on the team feel strong, motivated and special.
