    It was his first, a winter so cold he joked about death rather than experiencing it, but this season's winter would change how Takash felt about this. He was a hard worker, like all the other men in the village, working in the fields from sunrise to sunset. He had a wife and two children; his cabin was one of the first to be hit by the sun's rays in the morning, which pleased him. But all that no longer mattered once winter came. Food was scarce, even the rich and schoolchildren could barely survive. On a particularly cold night, the family needed a bigger fire than ever. The man went to get wood from their warehouse. As the man brought more and made a second trip, he didn't notice the sparkle landing on his wife's blanket. The fire quickly spread to the cotton blanket, it quickly devoured the fabric and then engulfed the woman. She woke up and noticed the fire around her; she panicked and ran into the cabin. She screamed and screamed but nothing could stop her, as the fire took her life, she fell to the ground next to the wooden walls. Soon the fire was no longer...
