    For two weeks a month, a woman was considered impure and unable to participate in certain religious ceremonies. This part of a woman's physicality is overlooked when men need a woman to procreate and the immense role they play in creating life, which is referenced similarly to what God does with the 'humanity. The fact that women were not allowed to achieve higher religious statuses did not allow for an alternative perspective on the Scriptures and kept women permanently second to men within the religion, even though the society around them of religion changed to include women.
