  • Essay / The Nobel Prize in Chemistry 2013 - 1633

For what work (research) was the prize awarded? Chemistry is one of the categories of the Nobel Prize awarded to chemists who have devoted themselves to the science of chemistry. For a chemist, the Nobel Prize is one of the most prestigious awards. The 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to three theoretical chemists who developed a multi-scale computer model to predict a complex chemical reaction. For some people, the 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry's decision may have come as a surprise. The prize was not awarded to a chemist who had developed a new chemical formula, but to a group of chemists who had developed a computer program on chemistry. The importance of research (computer model) is huge for chemical science, it allows chemists to analyze and even predict complex chemical reactions without performing real laboratory tests. The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences also noted that the 2013 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded to three brilliant researchers who developed a multi-scale computer model because their inventions are important to exact science. Researchers now no longer need to wear a lab coat, use plastic balls and sticks to test molecules, the computer model has now gained a larger share of natural science research. The computer model software also has high accuracy, so its analysis and predictions are reliable for use in chemistry research. Computer modeling software is cheaper than the actual lab test, and it is also less harmful to researchers because it produces real chemical reactions. This computer model software has taken chemistry to the next level. What were the names and affiliations of the scientists who won the award? The group of chemists who developed the computer model...... middle of paper..... Development of science. In the coming years, there is no doubt that the computer will play a more important role in our lives. .harvard.edu/people/martin-karplus [05/12/2013]http://chem.usc.edu/faculty/Warshel.html [02/12/2013] http://www.dw.de/karplus -levitt-warshel-menang-nobel-kimia-2013/a-17146999 [02/12/2013] http://med.stanford.edu/profiles/Michael_Levitt [02/12/2013] http://www.nytimes .com/2013/10/10/science/trois-researchers-win-nobel-prize-in-chemistry.html?_r=0 [08/12/13] http://www.mercurynews.com/ci_24271770/stanford -nobel-prize-chemistry-second-2013-levitt [02/12/2013] http://news.harvard.edu/gazette/story/2013/10/harvard-professor-wins-nobel-in-chemistry/ [ 12/02/2013] http://www.timesofisrael.com/israeli-prof-arieh-warshel-shares-2013-nobel-prize-in-chemistry/ [02/12/2013]
