The Bible is a unique book that was written 1500 years ago and was written in three distinct languages (Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic), but there was no specific author. It recounts actual factual events that happened and is a dialogue about the lives of many people. Its authenticity has been proven by research and historians who have proven that these texts were real events thousands of years ago. The Bible was written over a very long period of time, as it contains the Old and New Testaments, as well as Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, etc. Throughout the New Testament, factual stories are told from different points of view, since there are approximately 40 authors who wrote the Bible. Tradition says that Moses wrote the Bible Genesis 1 and 2, but this is debatable. (Brown, 2012) These factual stories contain different topics and messages about the nature of God, the creation of the world, the rules of life and the coming of the promised Messiah. The intentions of the writers who wrote the Bible are quite clear as they appear in the biblical texts and stories as lessons learned throughout life. It contains not only texts and lessons, but also commandments, songs, prayers, warnings, parables and prophecies that are still read, sung and believed today. The Bible was written by many different people with different strengths, personalities, fears, courage, backgrounds, and cultures to spread its messages. (Zevada, 2013) The Bible was written to display messages to all generations, such as faith in God and guidance, how to live a life with goals and purpose, how to interact with each other and deal with our “neighbors” as equals to ourselves. and encourages us to look to God for direction and middle of paper...... born as the spirit called Brahman which is the foundation of all life and can never die as it is the creator and is eternal. It is clear from all the information displayed that all religions have creation stories and that Christian and Hindu creation stories have visible similarities and teachings within these stories.
