Several news articles were published that commented on Uber's ethical decisions or lack thereof. For example, when an Uber struck and killed a child in San Francisco, Uber refused to take responsibility for the incident because, they said, "he was not carrying a passenger and therefore did not work for the company at that moment” [@7] . This led to heavy criticism of Uber, as many people believed the company was acting unethically regarding its statement and lack of action. However, in another case, Uber also attempted to make ethical decisions regarding social responsibility by publishing an article presenting data showing how Uber was able to reduce the number of drunk driving and accidents drunk driving in cities where Uber operates.
