What courses or subjects should students learn in school to make them well educated and achieve the goals of public education? State what your goals are for public education. After listening to my classmates in opinion pieces, readings, and class discussions, I feel that there are a number of courses/subjects that should be taught in schools to help develop well-rounded students. educated. I think year-round school is a great way to ensure students are prepared for the real world, limiting “summer sneaks” and allowing more time for education. I think standardized testing would be more beneficial if it was a progressive testing format (start with the basics and continue testing until the student gets a certain number of questions incorrect). The exam would show results of students' strengths and weaknesses, similar to the Smarter Balance test, but for more subjects.
