    Being a senior member of the theater department, people often looked to me for leadership. During the last month of rehearsals, many of the cast were disappointed by our absent director and the poor state of the show as opening night approached. However, during a break, I gathered many first-year artists and encouraged them to better understand the director, a professor very busy with his personal life outside of teaching and directing, and I suggested that instead of being frustrated by the show's lack of brilliance, we put more effort into rehearsals to make our show the best it could be. And indeed, we ended up experiencing not one, but a whole weekend of incredible moments.
