Essay / Summary On Sobonfu Some's The Spirit Of Intimacy
The husband's family will always ask for the wife's hand again and invite her back to their compound. She has the choice to come back or not. Only then, at the end of these separation rituals, is she free to remarry. As a wife, it is not right for her to refuse to recognize her family, to whom she was married. She should have no choice but to return to the compound she never left. Marriage not only connects husband and wife, but also families. No matter how long you've been married, you've created memories with everyone around you that will stay forever. My cousin Jeffery is an example. Who married his high school sweetheart during their senior year of college. Soon after, her family moved, so my family took her in as their own. But five years after their marriage, my cousin died of sickle cell anemia. This happened almost 20 years ago and to this day she still comes for holidays, family reunions or even when she is from out of state. It is a tradition to say that once you marry into a family, you will always be a part of it. Even if she decides to remarry one day, as a family we still love her and accept her wishes. I don't agree with what some people said when the family had to ask for her hand in marriage due to a tragic event. Same for divorce, simply because married couples had a disagreement between themselves.,
