Parking permits for spaces closest to campus cost a minimum of $400 per semester. For a four-year degree, that's at least $3,200. When adding up the cost of a full semester of classes, many students cannot afford to pay that amount of money for parking. Not to mention the distance to the closest and most expensive parking lots that are still on campus. Recently, public parking available to students moving to residential areas has been replaced with more parking permits. This pushes the scope of free parking even further away from campus. This leads to many problems for students. In addition to on-campus spaces being too expensive, there is one parking space for every 1 in 5 students enrolled at UNR. So even if you can afford one of the locations near campus, there may not be any left to purchase. Another problem with the lack of parking spaces is the consequences students face academically. Wasting time finding a parking space and arriving late for an exam could cost you a grade on an exam. This could significantly affect a student's overall grade in the class. Parking difficulties cause students to arrive late for class or sometimes not even bother to go. Security is also an issue. Install simply requests a location and gives you the closest possible space to your destination, plus a second, cheaper location a little further away. People who live near UNR and work all day have the option to rent their parking space at an hourly rate. Residents receive 70% of the proceeds from the rental of their space, a generous remuneration. Pitch owners can choose the dates and times that suit them to rent. Places can be reserved in advance to eliminate the stress of finding a place the next morning. Not only would this solution provide more parking spaces for students, it would do so inexpensively. The prices instantly, in the long term, exceed the prices of parking permits, and avoid the risks of fines and towing. Additionally, the spot owner also earns some extra money, making this app beneficial for both parties. The goal of this project is to make schooling easier and more motivating for students. If students have trouble finding parking and already feel frustrated and discouraged before they even set foot on campus, their attitude in class will decline.
