Police also have a cetin policy that they must follow in order to remain ethically correct and make the best choices for the benefit of society. Many new policies are being developed to help police forces make efforts to make America great again and end violence between citizens and police officers. “Violent confrontations between police and the public have sparked a national debate examining the relationship that law enforcement agencies have with the communities they serve. The role of state legislators in the debate is critical as they participate in working groups and consider and enact new laws that address policing” (NCSl). Community policing is one of the policies that helps build strength within the police system. Community policing is used with the community in a partnership to help resolve problems and ensure public safety. “Rather than a specific set of policies, community policing is a philosophy that may be different in each locality based on the needs of the police and residents of each jurisdiction” (NCSL). Another policy to help establish a police force is the PERF (Police Leadership Search Forum), which is a set of guild lines for use of force and use of force training. One of the guidelines states: “If an encounter requires the use of force, officers should begin with the lowest level of force possible and safe. Agents must never do anything to
