    One thing I learned is that no path to recovery is wrong, and because I discovered that recovery happens in the rooms doesn't mean it will be everyone's way. I encourage each of my clients to find this path for themselves, I am armed with resources to help them but I will never impose my point of view on them. This was a very important lesson for me and my perspective on addiction, as I was "raised" in an establishment that promoted twelve-step groups and made me understand that their way was the only way, that the concept of illness was real and that it was medically assisted. the treatment was the devil. I have seen countless people die because this belief was also instilled in them. Today I work in an assisted treatment center, and like I said before, it's not the right way, it's the way of
