    Sitting on a golden throne, platinum rings on each finger with servants at my disposal; Wouldn’t that be the good life? Growing up, I was a child of privilege and never really understood the monetary value of cash. Everything I ever wanted or had a preference for was given to me. And I, being the child that I was, with my developing mind, accepted these gifts without hesitation. However, as I approached college, I began to take on more responsibility and slowly discovered the essence of hard work and the satisfaction of redeeming myself from a downward spiral I expected to be in. that things are entrusted to me without necessarily gaining this luxury. grateful for the opportunity to obtain the finer things in life at just 11 years old, it became clear what my greatest weakness was: the ability to receive everything I wanted without any type of reimbursement.
