  • Essay / College Transition Analysis - 1327

If high schools stopped assuming they know exactly how their college experience will go, then perhaps the student would be aware of the obstacles in advance which could arise. . I also agree that college professors assume too much that it's the high school's fault that they haven't taught their students the way the professor wants their students to be prepared. If they just told students what was expected of them, they wouldn't need to complain. I agree with the author when he says that no one can predict the student experience because everything is diverse. It all depends on what the teacher wants and it doesn't matter if the student is a good student in other subjects. Marie did poorly because she did what she wanted and did not develop the skills the teacher wanted. The basic adaptation explained by the author is one I agree with, but I think time management was the most important. Others are not as important as time management because time is dangerous when it is wasted and not used wisely.
