Lebanon or the Lebanese Republic is the country located on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea (CIA, 2013). The country is surrounded by two warring neighbors, Israel and Syria. Many events in Lebanon are leading to strained relations between the country and its neighbors. Furthermore, in terms of economic problems, Lebanon is also facing many problems due to investments, banking sector, declining GDP, tourism and agricultural sectors. Some believe that Lebanon will overcome these problems in the future. However, the crisis in Lebanon regarding hostile relations with neighboring countries results in the emergence of poor living standards, as this initial situation largely transforms into an inevitable economic crisis in Lebanon. Jared Diamond, the author of Collapse: How Societies Choose to Fail or Succeed, introduced the big five frameworks on the subject of the possibility of leading countries to collapse, human impacts on the environment, and climate change, the decline of relations with friendly neighbors, relations with hostile societies and societies' responses to their problems. Lebanon faces two main problems related to Diamond executives, dealings with a hostile society and the companies' responses to their problems.
