Eating MeatEating meat is part of the daily lives of billions of people around the world. Every day, thousands of animals are killed to produce meat. However, studies have shown that meat is not essential to our existence and provides us with nothing more than other foods on the market. Eating meat may not immediately harm you or the environment, but it has consequences and they will appear sooner or later. A meat-free diet is healthier than a meat-containing diet. According to surveys and reviews of the contents of food products, meat contains more fat than non-meat foods. Since it is very difficult for our body to process large amounts of fat and it accumulates in our body, fat consumption leads to many health problems. According to the American Heart Association, the fat content of the foods we eat should account for no more than 30% of the total calories we consume daily. However, this is very difficult to achieve when meat is part of our daily diet plan. The only way to stay healthy and continue to eat meat is to limit the amount of meat we consume. Unfortunately, nowadays most people are often tempted by the taste and appearance of meat products available in the market and it is very difficult for them to resist. This is why the solution of a balanced diet cannot be used in practice. Additionally, it has recently been proven that many diseases are generally prevented, consistently improved, and often cured by a low-fat vegetarian diet. Among them are diseases such as kidney stones, prostate cancer, breast cancer, stomach cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, colon cancer, arthritis, osteoporosis, strokes, diabetes, peptic ulcers, obesity, hemorrhoids, salmonellosis...... middle of paper ... more meat than ever. We should take a minute and think about it. Meat production poses many problems that are not directly related to our well-being but are very important for our future survival and improving our quality of life. Meat itself may not have an immediate effect on our health, but it increases the risk of getting sick in the future. It's time to start thinking ahead and stop being so selfish just to satisfy our whims. Meat is useless and if we do not want to continue harming the environment and our own bodies, it is better to stop eating meat. Bibliography: Eaglesham, Barbara. “For the love of animals. » Oddysee.
