    The night after Brown's shooting, police officers in riot gear came to disperse an unruly crowd after a prayer vigil held in memory of Brown. The next day, police had to use tear gas and rubber bullets to disperse a massive crowd at a local store that had been burned and looted earlier. On August 13, the local government established a mandatory curfew due to recurring violence in the previous days. I don't think protesters have the right to loot stores in the area, but I do believe they have the right to protest the local government for not doing justice to the situation. Whether Michael Brown fought the officer or not, he still had his hands raised when Wilson's gun was drawn. When someone has their hands in the air, it usually means they are surrendering to the situation. The autopsy shows that given the way the bullets struck his body, he was more than likely in a hands-up position. This is the second time fatal violence against an unarmed black teenager has occurred, the first being Trayvon Martin. Given the way this case played out, it can be inferred that Wilson will not face any justice for shooting Brown. Our government claims to “protect” us by law, but it fails to do its job. We do not honor Michael with violence and looting, but we do so through peaceful protests to seek justice for his
