    This report is about the introduction and globalization of mobile phones and how they ultimately affect our society today. I will detail the origins of the first telephones, including the innovative and creative minds who were the first inventors of the device through to how the modern cell phone was created and used to this day. It is imperative to understand that without established “networks”, our current mobile phones would become virtually useless. These “3G/4G” networks allow us to stay connected in the telecommunications-based environment we live in today. Before the introduction of electronic telephones, many people used various mechanical acoustic devices for the purpose of long-distance communication. For example, pipes were in common use, as were telephones. These inventions used the joining of two cans or cups with a string or wire, which transmitted sound to each other using the necessary connection (the string or wire).
