Coffee shops are considered a social place. Yeah, that’s right, it’s more like the “social media” side of social. It can have so many effects on your brain, not to mention what has already happened to our brains. Dr. Gary Small conducted an experiment with 24 people who used the Internet for certain periods over several days. Every day, their brains were scanned for any changes. The moment they were told to spend 5 hours on the Internet, the results were astonishing. “Five hours spent on the Internet, and the naive subjects had already rewired their brains.” Large blob-like shapes had appeared on the brain scan, showing that there had been some sort of change in the way the brain worked. The brain had essentially reconnected through the simple means of using the Internet. Add all that into the caffeine-addicted brains of our coffee addicts and you have a recipe for disaster or total world domination. Now you're probably wondering how the hell these people survive if they don't get their coffee fix for the day. Well, there are actually health problems that can be caused by excessive coffee consumption, such as anxiety and muscle.
