Take a look at the back of a dollar bill. If anyone looks closely, they will see a pyramid with an eye on it. This is what we call “the all-seeing eye” (MacArthur 1). Some people are familiar with the All-Seeing Eye, but they did not know that it is a Masonic symbol associated with the Illuminati. Over time, many rumors and myths have circulated about the Illuminati, leaving everyone asking the big question of who are the Illuminati and do they exist? Without evidence, as far as anyone knows, this is not the case; However, there is a history and evidence of their existence, which brings this secret society out of the darkness and into the light. Before anyone can truly understand the Illuminati, it is important to understand the actual definition of the Illuminati. According to unc.edu, the word Illuminati refers to someone who is enlightened, or basically someone with great knowledge. This sounds great, but it is also important to know who created the Illuminati and who is the first person to possess this great knowledge. On May 1, 1776, a German professor named Adam Weishaupt founded the Illuminati. Their main objective was "to attain the highest possible degree of morality and virtue, and to lay the foundations for the reformation of the world by the association of good men to oppose the progress of moral evil" (Benjamin Bulford). In other words, Adam was tired of people running the government and tired of people running people, which is why he created the Illuminati. Their basic aim was to enlighten people about ethics and educate them in general. This all sounds wonderful on paper, but the hardest part about achieving these goals is that it would take time, something Adam was fully aware of (Harding 1).
