    There were many jobs around the house that needed attention for some time. One task at hand was cleaning out the spooky basement. The reason I never cleaned it was because I hated the basement because it was scary and dark. Plus there was always a bad smell of mothballs and mold, just like an old barn. We also had the opportunity to make some long-postponed purchases. My mother and sister drug me with it and I beg them not to do it. I felt there was no point in complaining about shopping because I was meant to go there, without a doubt. They went to every store in our little town and shopped forever. They had to try everything they saw in the stores and it turned out that they didn't buy anything all day. And each of us also wrote a long-awaited letter or other paperwork. My father finally wrote to his father who he hadn't spoken to for many years but I don't know why, they never told me.
