Essay / Honest people make the best leaders - 1155
Leadership is the ability to motivate and instill passion to become the best. Leadership is more complicated than simply ordering people from place to place like cattle. Leadership is about transforming today's followers into tomorrow's leaders. I was inspired by my mother to become a leader. She has had such an influence in my life that I would not be who I am today without her guidance. Leadership helps shape and motivate people to always do their best. As a leader, I value non-stealing and honesty. First, I believe that honest people are more respected than those who lie often. Also, I think thieves are unnecessary, because in the same way the person they are stealing from got theirs, they can do the same. I believe that people who lie and steal have had bad leaders influence their lives. All leaders have strengths and weaknesses, good and bad. Additionally, once a leader becomes aware of his strengths and weaknesses, he should then work to refine them. For example, my strengths are: self-motivation, faith, problem solving, communication, curiosity and my weakness is purpose. Since I know my strengths and weaknesses, I can now improve them. I believe that leaders cannot truly help others until they know their own strengths and weaknesses. The job description of a registered nurse is very broad because they can perform a wide range of tasks, but a general overview of what an average registered nurse does is: caring for patients, assisting doctors in providing treatments, administer medications, monitor patients' recovery and progress. Nurses with advanced degrees may also be responsible for performing patient diagnosis and case management. Training to become a registered nurse is different depending on middle of paper......and empowering others, more than just basic leadership skills are required. I also learned that leadership is not about perfection but rather about trial and error. No leader is perfect, they just learn to depend on others as well as themselves to get their job done. Additionally, leaders must also be able to be good followers. Although being a leader can be fun, certain types of activities are not necessary at all times. For example, a very authoritarian leader probably won't be needed at a child's birthday party. Although being a leader can feel like being on top, I have learned that leaders are never complacent. Leaders are never content to rest on their laurels. Great leaders want to achieve their impossible goals and set the bar higher and higher each time. My leadership philosophy is: I believe honest people make the best leaders..
