This means that they will obey their husband and the prophet wholeheartedly. Some of these Mormon fundamentalists reside in an isolated community known as Bountiful, British Columbia. The women of Bountiful are subjected to confinement and abuse induced by their religious cult. “Some Bountiful men are between 40 and 50 years old when they marry girls as young as fourteen” (Bramham 12).
