Over time, many world-famous orators have changed history forever. The power to speak and captivate an audience is a gift that few people possess. Many leaders around the world have realized this gift and put it to good use. Public speaking by famous leaders has had both positive and negative results. Whether it was the African-American civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr., who changed the world and people's opinions for the better with his "I Have a Dream" speech, or the German dictator , Adolf Hitler, who pushed his anti-Semitic views. through his Nazi speeches, people listened to him. People will always listen to these speeches and take away something different each time. Through the skills used to speak, different effects can be produced. It's sometimes hard to believe that Adolf Hitler was once one of the most talented and influential speakers in the world, due to the negative connotation that comes with his reputation. Reviewing his speeches, his techniques, his life and his mind is an enlightening experience. Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in Austria to Alios Hitler and Klara Polzl. Hitler lived in Austria until the age of 3, when he moved with his family to Germany. Rather than taking Austrian German as his language, Hitler adopted the Lower Bavarian dialect. This remained his communicative language throughout his life. As a teenager, Hitler served as a runner in France and Belgium during World War I. Hitler was eventually stationed in Munich, Bavaria after the war ended. In Munich, Kurt Eisner, leader of the Independent Socialist Party, declared Bavaria a socialist republic.
