  • Essay / Proposal on Abortion - 993

It is saddening to see female humans, who find themselves in a situation that requires introducing new life into the world; to abort such a precious gift. Many may wonder how these poor, innocent, unborn children are then abandoned after the abortion procedure. We cannot understand the reason for these gruesome murders occurring in these medical facilities. Babies are thrown into the red bins at these facilities and then incinerated. Some may be thrown into trash or even sold for research purposes. The issue of abortion is not only a social issue, but also a human rights issue for unborn children. I believe that if the human rights of these children have been violated, then all other human rights are certainly meaningless. According to CNN (cable news network), since the Supreme Courts legalized abortions in 1973, the number of abortions has increased. gradually. The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) reported 1,292,606 abortions in 1980. This number continued in the millions until 2000. The rates began to decline, but the numbers remained high. 2009 is the year the CDC recently released reports on abortion statistics in the United States. That year the ratio was 227 per 1,000 live births. 64% of legally induced abortions were performed at eight weeks or less into the gestation period. Women aged 20 to 29 accounted for 57.1% of those who had an abortion. 51.2% of women were white (including both Hispanic and non-Hispanic white women), 41.2% of women were black, and 7.6% were adult women of other races. The three states with the highest number of abortions were: New York, Florida and Texas. The statistics presented are inconsistent...... middle of paper...... the exploitation of children who never had the chance to have a future should be considered a crime. I think this idea can reduce the abortion rate in several ways. For what? Because she wouldn't have to face a situation where she would be afraid, or where the child would be unwanted. I have made my two proposed ideas on this subject. A sincere problem that is plaguing America today must be put to an end by any means possible. Because I hear the cries of babies who cannot speak. The women who then turn their backs after the murder of their own children. My voice is the voice of children. If no one can speak for them, I have to stand up and participate. I have brought attention to this problem and hope that those involved in such a callous act will change their ways and help a child. For the guilt may pour upon your souls and you will never be the same.
