Similarly, during the French Revolution, there was the Reign of Terror, where the Committee of Public Safety executed French people considered to be opponents of the revolution. During the Reign of Terror, many French people were killed between 1793 and 1794. During the Reign of Terror, the Third Power was struck by the fear of death for supposedly supporting the anti-revolutionary movement. The French knew how to use the power of terror to send a message to the hearts of the people, killing thousands of people, while the Russians only succeeded in killing thousands of their own citizens.
