They have a negative effect on people in today's society, especially the younger female population. Women can develop insecurity issues and a lack of self-confidence because they haven't won a pageant and don't feel "beautiful" like the title of a "beauty" contest. Female children's beauty pageants, such as the TV show "Toddlers and Tiaras", are a bad influence on young girls. Not only do they poison the brains of young children, but they teach them that facial and body image are essential. This does not help young girls' self-esteem; it harms them morally in the real sense that they are real people who are being taught that appearance is important. Especially younger children, who are influenced more quickly, learn to be more beautiful on the outside than on the inside. It is morally wrong for such a young girl to add anything that is beneficial for her future. Most women participate in beauty pageants to raise money to meet their financial needs.
