By 1870, he was known as a first-rate inventor and companies were demanding jobs. Its biggest customer was Western Bell. His most famous invention was the light bulb. It allowed users to have access to an on-demand light source wherever electricity was present. After his revolutionary invention, he essentially put all his eggs in one basket and opened Edison Lighting Companies, which later became known as General Electric. Even though his main focus was his electrical business, he still made time for his passion: inventing. He managed to invent the phonograph, the cinematographic camera and the alkaline battery, among others. In addition to his professional life, he managed to have a satisfying family life. Edison married his first wife, Mary Stilwell in 1871, they had three children together, two of whom had the nicknames Dot and Dash due to his obsession with communication and Morse code.
