Devayani - A Divine Demonic Love StoryDevayani is the only daughter of Guru Asura Shukracharya and her father adores the motherless child. A spirited and vivacious girl, Devayani thinks she is the most beautiful girl in the Asura kingdom. At eighteen, she has no shortage of suitors in her country. The Asura civilization is at its peak and his father, Guru Shukracharya, is the most important man in his country. He has discovered the secret of immortality with his tapasya and King Vruvpaksha will do whatever the Guru asks. In his quest for the Maha Mrityunjaya Sanjeevini Mantra, the elixir of immortality, the Asura Guru defeated his friend turned enemy, Guru Brihaspathy, the teacher of the Devas. With the secret mantra to awaken all the Asuras from their graves, the Guru ensures that the Asuras become invincible and the Devas are on the run. The Devas must do something desperate to regain their power and Indra, the king of the Devas, persuades their Guru. Brihaspathi to send his son Kacha to the Asura country. Kacha's mission is to somehow discover the secret of immortality from Guru Asura. Kacha travels deep into Asura territory and seeks scholarship from the Asura Guru. Indra, knowing Devayani's beauty, secretly sends his spies to ensure that Kacha does not fall in love with her. His instruction is to fake love. The Asura king Vruvpaksha also knows the identity of Kacha, but as Shukracharya has already taken Kacha, as a scholar he bides his time. Devayani's confidence is broken by Kacha's indifference towards her beauty. He seems to be more attracted to his close friend, the light-skinned Sharmista, Princess Asura. He makes fun of Devayani's dark skin and arouses her jealousy. This makes her more determined to win the middle of the paper, he says that ever since he came out of his father's womb, he has been a brother to her. He leaves a heartbroken Devayani. and his father helpless behind for his glory. The story will end here with Devayani's torment and agony. However, as I don't want a tragic ending to a love story, I will add an extra paragraph. The story will be written in Devayani's first person. The last paragraph will show her married to King Yayati and she will talk to her two sons about how to treat women with respect when they grow up. (How Yayti betrays her and secretly marries her friend Sharmista is the plot of another novel, maybe a sequel. Another interesting fact is that Lord Krishna is a great-grandson of this Asura woman, Devayani )Anand NeelakantanAuthorAsura, Tale of the DefeatedAjaya, Rolling of the DiceAjaya, Rise of Kali.
