Essay / Human Behaviors During Fires - 1186
This study examines human behavior during evacuation after a building fire and how each response affects the occupant's ability to safely evacuate the building. Many deaths have occurred when people were unable to escape from a burning building, due to inadequate building design, inadequate fire detection and suppression systems, and visibility of doors and exit signs. According to Fire Passionné, the main factors that lead to a tragic evacuation are the lack of sufficient exits for the population, lack of direction for exit, lack of fire walls, fire doors and smoke doors. and the lack of an evacuation plan. This should be a matter of concern as many people die each year in domestic or industrial fires due to the lack of an escape plan. So when a fire breaks out, the occupant is put to psychological and physical strain in a sobering way. irrationally, in which we will identify the appropriate solutions to prepare for an evacuation in the event of a fire and how to stay calm.IntroductionDid you know that when a person is under pressure or in a life or death situation, it particularly impairs their ability to think? Although there are several methods for evacuating a fire in a building, the obstacle that challenges most occupants is remaining calm under pressure and remembering the escape plan. When a fire develops, it creates smoke which is a mixture of tiny particles and gases produced by the fire. The particles are mainly of two kinds: Solid carbonaceous particles (soot), producing black smoke, and liquid droplets (aerosol mist), which form as certain gas molecules cool and condense, producing colored smoke clear (Friedman). In the event that the occupant is unable to recover...... middle of paper ...... but with further research and statistics on evaluating how individuals respond to fires, it It's an ongoing learning experience that will continue to be a concern. . With the increasing number of deaths from fires, the question arises whether people think rationally or irrationally when a fire breaks out? Just by thinking about it, the individual could act in accordance with a fire situation, but if the necessary tools are not available, the person could end up with serious injury or even death.
