Mexico is a country rich in history, tradition and culture; it is made up of 31 states and one federal district. It is the third largest country in Latin America and has the largest population with over 100 million inhabitants; making it the country where more Spanish speakers live than any other nation in the world. Many rural areas of Mexico are still inhabited by indigenous people whose lifestyle reflects that of their ancestors. Additionally, many pre-Columbian ruins still exist throughout Mexico, including the ancient city of Teotihuacán and the Mayan pyramids of Chichén, Itz, and Tulum. Throughout this article, the basic life that an average person in Mexico goes through will be described. There will also be in-depth details on five major aspects that shape and describe Mexico. The first major topic is tradition, culture and identity, where holidays, food, traditions and religion are part of everyday life. Then come sports and leisure with baseball, Charreria, bullfighting and football. Another major role of Mexico is education. Education has many ups and downs throughout the education system. Their overall pass and grade rate is surprisingly high, but the bumps and bruises come when funds are discussed. Public safety is the main concern of the Mexican government. Law and crime cause major unrest and are very common in Mexico. The war on drugs is also a significant factor affecting indigenous health, which brings me to my final topic. Illness and health are one of Mexico's BIGGEST concerns. The main reason is their high disease rate. With high disease rates, many people die every day from preventable illnesses. When most people think of Mexico, they imagine a normal Christian country, but little did they know that, but middle of paper. .... inhabitants per day. There are also an incredible number of assaults that occur every day. 252 people out of 100,000 inhabitants are attacked every day. It is the main crime committed in Mexico and it will continue to be so. As you can see, Mexico is a great mix of culture and issues. Although many want to solve Mexico's problems, funding is lacking and conflicts continue. Many traditions and cultures are found in daily life and are very symbolic to Mexicans.
