    Luckily, I am very comfortable with patients, which made the care very easy. I wasn't afraid to go into other patients' rooms if they called for help. I would do my best to help patients; however, if I needed help, I wasn't afraid to ask a fellow student or a staff nurse. Being able to talk to patients and work as a team with colleagues is very important, as it makes the job easier. On the other hand, I need to review the mother and baby assessments to become more familiar with both. I was able to complete the assessments; I now need to do it more quickly while making sure I don't forget any key areas. Finally, it is essential that I continue to review patient teaching before the clinic. Being comfortable with patients has made teaching easier, although I need to become more familiar with all the material that needs to be taught. All things considered, my first mother-baby clinic went very well. I have more confidence in the care I have provided and will provide over the coming weeks. If needed, the nurses were there to answer my questions or help me with my learning. I know that I have room for improvement, although I am aware that it will take more practice. Having such supportive patients and parents allowed me to take my time and be more thorough to make sure I understood the concepts.
