Essay / Libyan Revolution - 944
The Libyan Revolution or Libyan Civil War was the armed conflict in Libya between those who supported Colonel Muammar Gaddafi and those who were against him. Conflicts, especially between the people and the government, have always been one of the main topics of political discussions. However, not all of them can be described as “the cornerstone of change”. I consider that the Libyan revolution is the one that brought about political changes in this country. The revolution was a very radical action, but the natural result of violence and the killing of innocent people, which was a natural thing for Muammar Gaddafi at the time. “No Libyan should adopt the practices of a tyrant that Libya suffered from for decades under his autocratic rule. Human rights groups have published reports of brutal atrocities committed in prisons formerly run by rebels. Regardless of the circumstances, there is no justification for intimidating, torturing, or killing anyone (Kreiba, 2012). I completely agree with Hussain Abdulrazzaq Kreiba and consider the civil war a horrible torture, necessary to get rid of the cruel regime in Libya. The revolution was caused directly by Muammar Gaddafi's inappropriate treatment of the people, by the people's desire to change their country, by the impact of human rights in Libya, and indirectly by the fact that their country was in a deep economic crisis, despite their vast reserves of oil and natural gas. The major, direct and most important reason for the Libyan revolution was the mistreatment of the population by Muammar Gaddafi. “Most countries were once supportive of the Libyan revolution and the international media focused on the crisis in Libya. Regional and international organizations too...... middle of paper ...... of course, now the country will need a lot of time to reach the normal level of the economy and eliminate the consequences of the revolution, but the main one A step has been taken and the country is today free. The Libyan people can be proud of themselves, and European countries, including the United States, are doing everything they can to help Libya rehabilitate its country. And I believe that the people, who have overcome such horrible times, will certainly be able to lead their country to prosperity.
