Administrative leaders must have a clear vision for their school, a plan to get there, and an ability to effectively communicate their mission and goals to the learning community. Leaders must recognize how to achieve the change process by challenging well-established community beliefs and behaviors. Encourage resisters to adapt to innovative ideas from the school community. Dr. Hunter has clearly articulated his goals to all stakeholders in all aspects of school culture. The guides developed by the Local Administrators Partnership Stream (ILIAD) address standards and procedures to ensure quality service as leaders. These standards and guidelines align with the leadership standards of the National Association of Elementary School Principal (NAESP) (www.naesp.org), an ILIAD partner. Analysis of the unstructured interviews will describe leadership styles and roles, program development, and evaluation methods. Leadership Styles The strength of the school is manifested through the school's capacity, its achievements and its educational values. Instructional plans may include collaborating lesson plans and activities to promote innovative ideas to achieve set goals and objectives. I realize that leadership is complex and the guidelines given can help you effectively lead change with students, teachers, and community leaders. Through the use of these guidelines, your leadership style prepares leaders for the expectations and requirements of implementing procedures and programs. Lewin, Litt-pitt, and White's research defines leadership styles for providing direction, motivating staff, and implementing plans. It is imperative that the student acquires knowledge to compete in this society and the global world. Effective administrators and educators must update their skills and design quality instruction that will inspire all students to acquire knowledge. There is a definite need to transform leadership in the American school and educators must shift the paradigm in the area of teaching and learning.
