Crossfit: Forging Elite FitnessElite athletes all the way up to grandmothers can use the Crossfit fitness method to achieve their fitness goals. This is the best and most comprehensive fitness program available for achieving overall fitness. Whatever your fitness level and goals, Crossfit has something to offer everyone. Since its inception, it has gained popularity and helped many people achieve peak fitness levels. This is why Crossfit is the best fitness program there is. Body: The Crossfit Fitness Organization was founded in 1996 by trainer Greg Glassman. He created the fitness program for one reason: to make athletes as well-rounded as possible in all areas of fitness. In fact, Crossfit is designed around GPP (general physical preparation) athletes and makes them efficient in the ten components of physical fitness which are cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, endurance, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and precision. To ensure that athletes master all of these areas, Crossfit offers a wide variety of physical exercises that are integrated to achieve this overall fitness. The definition of Crossfit is that of constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity. Primarily through the use of functional movements, Crossfit workouts are designed around how the body is supposed to move and function. Crossfit measures an athlete's power through their work capacity, essentially the amount of work a person can complete in a short period of time. Crossfit has incorporated many, many fitness and strength tools to help them achieve their goals. These include Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, kettlebell training, rowing, dumbbell training, bodyweight exercises, medicine ball training...... middle of paper......ow and forge elite fitness.
