Forest E. Witcraft once said, “A hundred years from now, it won't matter what my bank account was, what kind of house I lived in, or what kind of car I 'would use. led. But maybe the world is different because I was important in a child's life. Many people think that "those who can do it, those who can't teach" (what teachers do), but what these people don't know is how much work and training goes into becoming a efficient and effective teacher. School teachers are not only responsible for academic achievement, they also have the responsibility to provide students with a stable, clean and safe learning environment. During a typical day, teachers will respond to at least thirty emails, these emails will come from parents, fellow teachers, and administrators. Currently, email is the easiest and fastest way for teachers to communicate. Elementary teachers assess students' academic performance and are able to teach on a class-wide or small group basis. In reality, teachers work for the school district, but they primarily work for their students. Ms. Jill Cooper, third grade teacher at McDowell Mountain, said the best part of her job is "When you can see the kids progress, when they actually learn what they're trying to teach them, and especially when they struggle, struggle, struggle and suddenly they understand. (Cooper, Jill) Teachers “make parents see their children for who they are and what they can be.” (What Teachers Do) Elementary school teachers will dedicate their lives to changing the world, one child at a time.
