Essay / Oxymoron and Symbolism in Emily Dickinson's Poem
It can be argued that this is just a poem in the simple sense, which does not include good and evil. Another scholar objects to the reference to light and darkness that was mentioned. Especially when it comes to the Scripture part, it can feel like Scripture has no meaning for light and darkness, even though it clearly does. Some other opponents may disagree that good and evil do not intertwine or complement each other. Regardless of all academic naysayers, the facts that have been proven are stated and supported by reliable evidence.
