Essay / Why I decided to become an audiologist - 1530
I always wanted to help people. I have always wanted to help make a difference in people's lives. I plan to become an audiologist because I want to change people's lives and how I can help them and make a difference in someone's life. As an audiologist, I want to help people hear, either by providing them with a hearing aid or helping them with other hearing options. I want to be able to get a hearing test and/or help people with therapy or be able to find other forms of help if I am unable to provide the help needed. As an audiologist, there is a lot to learn. I will learn what an audiologist does and the environment they work in as well. I plan to learn how the equipment works. I will also learn what training is required for this career field, but also how and where I can obtain the necessary knowledge. What skills do I need, also to obtain them, and the level of education required, the diplomas I need to acquire. The things I learned and intend to learn and the things I didn't know. I chose to become an audiologist because of all the challenges I know I will face, as well as the challenges I know I can overcome. Why did I choose this career? I chose this career because I want to help people who are hearing impaired. This job interests me because I like being able to help people, especially children. How do I plan to achieve this goal? Well, I plan to do that by attending a college that allows me to earn a doctorate in audiology. Next, I'm considering either opening my own practice or working in a clinic. My desire is to work with people of all ages, but I especially enjoy working with hearing impaired children. In this job, you will need many skills. But how does this...... middle of paper ......experience. I learned that working with children is something I would love to do, just like working with adults. I love the satisfaction of knowing that I was able to help people with disabilities that could be fixed. I also loved seeing the smiles on their faces as we not only helped them understand everyday life better, but also the fact that we had just made their day unforgettable. There are so many things I can learn from this career. I can learn how to use and maintain the equipment. I can learn different ways to help people. I can learn so much about this career and gain an abundance of knowledge and experience over the years I enjoy working with people and children. I also want to make a difference in as many lives as I can. I would love to become an audiologist for many different reasons, especially the challenges I will face and hope to overcome..
