Essay / God is great! - 1161
God is GREAT! “No matter how big your problem or need, God is bigger” (Roberts 183). When we accepted Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, we became “little children of God, and have overcome them: for greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world” (BibleGateway). Great peace and joy came over me as I read Roberts' words: "God has more people to reach with a message that God loves, God heals, God is the Source of every person's total supply, and God sent His only begotten Son so that everyone who believes in Him can be forgiven of their sins and live with God for all eternity” (Roberts 163). This is just the beginning; God wants us to reach every person, regardless of race, religion, culture or beliefs, with His good news. Robert's words about sowing and reaping stood out clearly, for God has a specific time and place for everyone to sow and reap His blessings, and this should be a continuous and seamless lifestyle linked to faith” (Roberts 180 and 181). The Ultimate Voice, written by Oral Roberts, reveals how God transformed his life, as well as how to hear God's voice to fulfill His plan and purpose in our lives. As I began reading Ultimate Voice, I realized that Roberts was pouring out his heart and soul to anyone who would listen, about how God's voice changed his life for eternity. His stories, about his family, his church, and his personal growth, bring encouragement and expectation of what God has in store for each of our lives today as well as future lives to come. Enlightenment shines through as Roberts reminds us: “When God prepares to do SOMETHING new on earth, He brings forth a baby” (Roberts 38). Through the prayers of his mother Claudius and his obedience to God, Ro...... middle of paper ...... sends us to The Ultimate Voice. I believe Roberts shares with us, “God designed what you do before you were even born. . . . Consider how God has prepared and positioned you. Nothing is wasted in God’s economy” (Roberts 145). I agree with Roberts when he said, “In every area of your life, look for ways to combine the natural and the supernatural. . . . God does not separate the material world from the spiritual world. He created them both and designed them to be fully interdependent and integrated” (Roberts 203). I agree and encourage others to “Ask God to give you his spirit!” Ask him to help you think like him! God wants to use you in ways he may never have used before” (Roberts 148). What a great legacy to leave the world. We have “no life except a life of obedience” to our Heavenly Father (Roberts 194).
