    Their names are Amanda Miklus and Michelle Richardson. Amanda has an associate's degree in nursing and is working toward a bachelor's degree in nursing, as hospitals now require nurses to have a bachelor's degree. Some tasks Amanda performs as a nurse are "measuring wounds, vital signs, patient education, assisting with debridement, case management, and dressing wounds" (personal communication, November 10 2015). Her advice to future nurses is to get a bachelor's degree, because going back to school because degree requirements have changed is not fun (A. Miklus, personal communication, November 10, 2015). This actually makes sense because as people grow up, they get married, have kids, buy a new car, pay off student debt, and buy a house. All of these responsibilities combined with going back to school is not a fun path to take. Amanda also insists that people view nursing not as a paycheck, but as a service to others, because “we deal with a lot of angry people. This is a no thanks type of job.
