What I knew before I started: Fat. Ugly. Weird. Different. BIG. short. Monster. Some of the few words that cross people's minds when judging others. What do I know about judgment? Judging is something we all do, even if we don't like to admit it. I wish I didn't judge others, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't. The image people present to the public is what most people will judge them for. People judge based on appearance, lifestyle, how much your house is worth, how much your car is worth, what your job description is, how you act. Do people really have all the facts to judge others? If you judge someone, then you give others the right to judge you, right? There is a difference between bullying and judgment. The term "bullying" is thrown around a lot these days, and sometimes people use it as an excuse to deal with the real problem they have. In the Bible, Matthew 7:1 says, “Judge not.” However, in Matthew 7:2 it says, “For as you judge others, so will you be judged.” » So what does this mean? Does this actually say to never judge others? This is only what I know so far, shall we dig deeper? What I want to find out: What is the meaning of judging? Does it really say never judge anyone? What do people get from judging others? What are the consequences of how you present yourself to others? When do we have the right to judge others? What is the difference between good and bad judgment? Where is the line between the two? John 7:24 says, “Judge not according to appearances, but according to righteousness.” » To judge others, must you examine yourself? If you don't judge others, will they ever improve?
