Bullying has evolved greatly over the years. We have moved from a face-to-face form of bullying to a new form called cyberbullying. Many believe that cyberbullying is much worse than its traditional partner because it can have a huge psychological impact on the person being bullied. More and more people are reporting being bullied now that cyberbullying has evolved. After a survey was carried out among 264 children from 3 different schools, it emerged that around half of them had been victims of bullying and around a quarter of them had been victims of cyberbullying. About half of children say they know someone who has been or is being cyberbullied. Most cyberbullies attack their victims repeatedly, and for some reason the victims never report it to adults. It was found that men were more likely to be cyberbullies than women and women were more likely to report to an adult if they had been bullied by someone ("Cyberbullying in Schools") . It has become much easier for bullies to cyberbully people because of all the advancements in technology. With the rapid growth of computers and other technologies, cyberbullying was bound to explode. Bullies can deal crippling blows to a person's psychiatric condition simply by using the Internet, and the effects can be everlasting. It's easy for multiple people to bully a single target when they're on the Internet. Cell phones are also a great cause of suffering for victims, as they cannot delete embarrassing photos or messages from the phones of other people who received them. ("Mr. Bullproof.").
